Crested Gecko Articulated Flexi 3D print. Just released!
Designed by MatMire Makes this adorable 3D printed Crested Gecko (Correlophus ciliatus) makes a great display piece, desktop companion and also a great fidget object. Please note this model is not suitable for young children although it is great for older children for imaginitive play.
Designed to move like a real Crested Gecko with flexible articulations all down the tail, body, legs and head. This model has also been ingeniously designed with locking points on the front and back legs (as shown in the video) to enable it to be posed in a standing or upright stance, which gives many options for posing the Gecko. One final trick this Gecko has is that the tail can be popped off and there are 2 versions of the tail, the regular long tail and the 'Frog Butt' version. Grested Geckos are very prone to dropping their tales and with this species they do not fully regrow so many end up with a Frog Butt :). Each Gecko is supplied with both versions of the tail so you can choose which to display it with or play it with.
The Crested Gecko print is 25cm long from nose to tail.
Eyes are hand painted with acrylics and sealed with clear acrylic gloss finish to give it a distinctive lifelike personailty.
This model can be printed just about any colour you like, please select from the drop down list or if there is a colour I dont have listed please message me and I can arrange to get it.
Printed with high quality plant based PLA filament with 3 walls and 10% infill for a sturdy model with robust joints. these models are biodegradable
As with all 3D prints layer lines are visible and there may be the odd small imperfection in the printing process but these do not take away from awsomeness of the finished product
Please note with gradient filaments such as the wood, camo, matcha, macaron and rainbow it is not possible to get an exact match for those in the images as the gradient changes as each model is printed. You will get colours from the range shown but not necessarily in exactly the same places on the model.
Although care has been taken to ensure this will endure hours of fidgeting and play please be aware the arms, legs and body can break if too much pressure is applied so be careful when having fun and always supervise young children to avoid accidents
